In Memoriam, Tim & Eric Legend: Richard Dunn

Monday, June 14th, 2010

rdunn

A brief, but touching message appeared on the web site of our favorite comedy nerds, www.timanderic.com, announcing the passing of one of their go-to greats: Richard Dunn. Richard was certainly best known for the work he did with Tim & Eric, appearing in most of everything they’ve ever produced - from animated cameos in Tom Goes to the Mayor, to internet “talk show” Tim & Eric Nite Live and of course the Adult Swim mega-sensation, Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!

The Comedy of Tim & Eric may someday be likened to the painting philosophy of Salvador Dali. To them surreality is but a foggy checkpoint on a road leading somewhere much deeper and often darker. Despite this, Richard’s presence (though apparently frail) was always fortified by a grandfatherly innocence and this juxtaposition became a key ingredient in the Tim & Eric recipe for creation.

The Sarah Silverman Program was Cancelled by "Comedy" Central

A disappointing day of news if you’re a fan of (and yes, you should be) of our favorite nerdy girl, Sarah Silverman - it was announced officially that her always out-there television show, The Sarah Silverman Program would not be returning for a fourth season on Comedy Central. Well, Comedy Central, we hope you walk too close to the edge of a big cliff and die. It’s bad enough that the funniest people of our time only have a couple of places to turn to reach a wide audience, but it’s even worse that you’re one of them!

Sarah, we love you!
