survivorman1Have you ever watch the show Survivorman?  It’s broadcast on the Outdoor Life Network in Canada and internationally on the Discovery Channel. If you have not, you must, it’s amazing.

The premise for the show is simple. Les Stroud, a filmmaker and survival expert is dropped in a remote location alone and must use his skills to survive for seven days . He is equipped with only his clothes, camera equipment (there is no camera guy, he’s all alone), his harmonica and a multi-tool.

He always manages to find odd scraps and MacGyver them into the most useful survival tools. So if he can make something useful out of an inch of wire, imagine the endless possibilities with the NerdSeven Sardine Survival Kit! This would-be mass fish grave could save your life, or at least make living conditions in an emergency a lot easier!

astronomy_andromeda_galaxyEvery year, on a clear day in May, people look up at the stars and celebrate National Astronomy Day. Astronomy clubs and groups use this day to teach people about stars and often hold public viewing events, workshops and family activities to increase awareness about the profession and hobby.

Even if you can’t make it to an event, you can always create one right at home with the Laserpod Orb from NerdSeven. If you’ve ever wanted to see what the universe looked like just after the big bang, then the LaserPod light show is as close as you’re going to get!

The intense light energy is projected through a single crystal and the output of this galaxy-birthing device can only be described as awe-inspiring.
