If you&#8217;re naturally inclined to throw up your shield and charge forward against such blasphemy you may cite the exponential advancements us humans have made in such a short time&#8230; but you may also come to the realization that while we may be capable of understanding it we are simply not ready. Lord Rees, a &#8220;top&#8221; British scientist seems to agree, and then some:</div>
<div class="pb20">&#8220;Just as a fish may be barely aware of he medium in which it lives and swims, so the microstructure of empty space could be far too complex for unaided human brains.&#8221;</div>
<div class="pb20">If we understand correctly (and we may not be smart enough to) Rees is suggesting that humans may need supplementary intelligence or machines to fully comprehend the space around us. That doesn&#8217;t sound outrageous, but for some reason Borg goldfish sounds way better!</div>
