It has long been speculated that Mars wasn’t always the cold, arid planet that it is today. Researchers from the University of Colorado have published their findings which seem to identify the existence of a common sea level on Mars. The findings suggest that about 3.5 billion years ago a vast ocean covered as much as a third of the Martian surface.
